The instrument scan is a blind scan, requiring the identification and filtering out of the TB bacilli in the sample. The higher the magnification, the larger the image and the higher the likelihood of identification.

The biggest difficulty of TB scanning technology is to scan for smears less than 1+. In such smears, the TB bacteria are rarely distributed, and if the imaging is too small, it is easy to miss the diagnosis.
